Privacy Policy

Scope and approach

Toolsila is designed around focused tools that minimize unnecessary collection. This policy applies to toolsila.com and the services made available through it. It does not make an absolute claim that no data, storage, logs, or cookies can ever be involved. Website delivery, security, user preferences, and optional communications have different technical requirements, described below.

Local image processing

The background remover and image compressor process selected image files on your device in a compatible browser. Your selected image is not uploaded to a Toolsila application server for those processing operations. Application code, interface assets, and the background-removal model must still be downloaded to your browser so the tools can operate.

Generated previews and downloads use browser memory and local object URLs. Files you save are handled by your browser and device. Browser extensions, managed-device software, operating-system features, or other software outside Toolsila’s control may have their own access to files and activity.

Contact messages and Web3Forms

If you use the contact form, your name, email address, message, and related submission information are sent from your browser to Toolsila’s Cloudflare Worker. The Worker validates the request and forwards it to Web3Forms using a server-side credential. Web3Forms processes the submission so it can be delivered to support@toolsila.com. Cloudflare and Web3Forms may also process technical and abuse-prevention information under their own terms and privacy practices.

You can avoid the form and contact Toolsila through your own email provider. Email providers then process the message according to their own policies. Do not send passwords, payment details, highly sensitive personal information, or private images unless necessary and you are comfortable with the communication channel.

Hosting and security logs

Toolsila is served through Cloudflare. Standard delivery and security systems may process information such as an IP address, request date and time, requested URL, response status, referring page, browser or device information, and security signals. These logs can be used to deliver the site, diagnose failures, limit abuse, and protect the service.

Hosting-provider processing and retention are governed partly by the provider’s configuration and policies. Toolsila does not use this policy to promise that infrastructure logs never exist.

Browser storage and optional analytics

Toolsila currently stores the theme preference under the browser storage key toolsila-theme. The value can be light, dark, or system. You can change it with the visible theme control or clear it through your browser settings.

When Google Analytics is configured, Toolsila offers one global choice before loading it. The choice is stored locally undertoolsila-analytics-consent as accepted or declined. A new visitor who has not accepted sends no Google Analytics request. Choosing Decline, or closing the choices panel without choosing, keeps analytics off. A stored decline also keeps the tag off on later pages. You can reopen Privacy choices in the footer whenever analytics is configured to see and change the saved choice.

After acceptance only, Toolsila loads Google Analytics 4 with analytics storage granted. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, Google signals, and ad-personalization signals remain disabled. Google Analytics may then process standard page and device information and may set analytics cookies. Toolsila also reports the named Web Vitals LCP, CLS, INP, FCP, and TTFB, plus a fixed tool slug and fixed error code when a browser tool fails. Selected image data, filenames, image dimensions, download names, form content, contact details, and raw error messages are not included in those custom events.

Declining before the tag has loaded sends no consent or analytics ping. If you change a previous acceptance to Decline on an already-open page, the loaded tag receives a denial update, Toolsila stops its custom telemetry, and removes accessible _ga* cookies for the current hostname and available paths as far as browser rules allow. The stored decline prevents the tag loading on later pages. This cannot delete analytics data Google already collected; use Google and browser controls for their respective data and storage options.

Analytics consent is separate from advertising consent. Toolsila does not use the Analytics choice as consent for advertising.

Advertising and Google Privacy & Messaging

Toolsila limits the Google AdSense Auto ads script to individual guide articles. Home, the Tools and Blog indexes, both interactive image-tool pages, About, Contact, policy, search, and error pages do not load that advertising script. Google decides whether advertising is available for an eligible article and may show no ad. Google may process IP addresses, device and browser information, page and ad interactions, cookies, web beacons, or similar identifiers to select, deliver, limit, secure, and measure advertising. Selected image contents and filenames are not included in Toolsila’s AdSense configuration.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s earlier visits to Toolsila or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve and measure ads. Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Where other advertising vendors participate, visitors can also use relevant provider controls or resources such as AboutAds opt-out choices. Toolsila uses Google Privacy & Messaging as its advertising consent management platform for applicable visitors, including EEA, UK, and Swiss traffic. The message provides consent and management choices and can display a privacy and cookie settings link for revisiting those choices. Advertising choices are handled separately from Toolsila’s optional Analytics preference. Google and participating advertising providers process information under their own policies and the consent signals available to them.

External links

Guides and pages may link to external documentation, source sites, or services. Following an external link takes you to a separate operator whose privacy practices and security are not controlled by Toolsila. Review that operator’s information before providing personal data.

Retention

Locally processed images are not retained by a Toolsila application server because they are not submitted to one for processing. Contact messages may be retained in Web3Forms delivery systems, email systems, and support records for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain context, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet applicable obligations. Infrastructure logs are retained according to operational needs and provider settings.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect the site and communications within Toolsila’s control. No browser, network transmission, provider, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Choose carefully what you send and keep your browser and device updated.

Your choices

• Use the image tools without creating an account.
• Choose email instead of the Web3Forms contact form.
• Clear or change the stored theme preference in your browser.
• Accept, decline, or revisit optional analytics through the global consent notice and footer Privacy choices control when configured.
• Use Google Privacy & Messaging controls to manage applicable advertising and cookie choices when advertising is enabled.
• Avoid external links or review their policies before continuing.
• Ask about a contact message or request reasonable correction or deletion by emailing support, subject to applicable requirements and legitimate retention needs.

Policy updates

This policy may change when the site, providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The date at the top will be updated when a revised version is published. Material new processing—particularly analytics or advertising—requires a policy review before it is enabled.
