Browser image tools
Toolsila currently offers two focused image workflows: make a transparent PNG from a subject photo, or test an adjustable quality-and-file-size tradeoff while keeping image dimensions.
Both tools validate a selected image before work begins and show the result for review. Their accepted formats and limits are different.

Remove backgrounds from one image or a batch of up to 10, inspect transparent edges against several backdrops, and download transparent PNGs or create a separate white-background JPEG locally.
Up to 10 JPEG, PNG, or WebP images. Each can be 10 MB and 36 megapixels; images above 12 megapixels are reduced proportionally.

Compress one image or a batch of up to 10 with shared presets, target-size guidance, and local before-and-after previews. Pixel dimensions stay unchanged, and files are not uploaded to Toolsila.
Up to 10 JPEG, PNG, or WebP images. Each can be 20 MB and 36 megapixels; original pixel dimensions are preserved.
Open toolSelect a JPEG, PNG, or WebP that fits the tool’s stated size and pixel limits. The tool checks the actual file before processing.
The selected image is processed on your device. The background remover may first download its model assets; it does not send the selected image to a Toolsila application server.
Check the cutout edge or compare the output’s detail and file size, then download a separate result when it suits your destination.
Local browser processing reduces the need to send a selected image to a Toolsila application server, but it does not promise identical results on every device or guarantee a perfect cutout or smaller file. Browser support, memory, image content, file format, and chosen quality all affect the result.

This licensed CC0 amethyst photograph was processed with the same Toolsila background-removal widget above. The transparent result keeps the irregular crystal silhouette, while its slight pale fringe shows how a soft contact shadow and a low-contrast edge can remain visible.

This licensed CC0 cloudscape was run through the same Toolsila image compressor above at 80% quality with Keep original JPEG output. It changed from 238,301 to 212,540 bytes (10.8% smaller) at 1920 × 1080. The paired images preserve the same pixel dimensions so you can compare file-size reduction against visible detail in cloud edges, color gradients, water, and the dark shoreline.
